Did You Hear About: Newark State Of The Arts

State of the Arts

When you think of an organization's annual meeting, your mind tends to dredge up images of dull slideshow presentations and numerous quotes about projected vs actual results, and then the snoring begins. But the Newark Arts' Annual Meeting and State of the Arts event promises to be the antithesis of that idea.

This free gathering, held this year at Express Newark in the newly renovated Hahne & Company building, will spotlight the 2017-2018 ArtStart Grant winners while you and other patrons of the arts enjoy food, music and entertainment. As an organization dedicated to improving the facilitation of and access to the arts scene, Newark Arts, in one evening, will introduce you to the creative minds they help cultivate and support, as well as the staff that keeps the city engaged, thriving and showing up on Top 10 Most Vibrant Arts Community lists.

The State of the Arts annual meeting may seem like a formal, ostentatious affair, but it's more like an informative celebration that hopes to share news of what the arts community in Brick City has accomplished in the past year, in addition to what lies ahead. And a mere RSVP is all it takes to attend!
