Lotus Moment: Polar Vortex Meets Winter Wonderland

Why this is awesome: While our Australian friends are being broiled to death in the Southern Hemisphere, up here in the North -- specifically the central U.S. and Canada -- we're battling an unusual climate pattern ourselves. Although the weather has now returned to its normal wintry mix of ice and snow, this photo captured the Polar Vortex that gripped the Midwest not 2 full weeks ago. It was beautiful to behold outside my window, particularly from inside a safe, warm and very appreciated apartment.
