Lotus Moments

Lotus Moment: As Life Passes By

Parmentier metro stop

Why This Is Awesome: A common theme among writers, artists and creatives of all kinds is the idea that the ordinary minutiae as life passes by often escapes the attention of those focused on the grander, more salient aspects of their day. That's why it's up to the "artsy set" to build worlds that make the ordinary seem extraordinary. And in doing so, a universal connection is made.

I'm not sure if this view of the Parmentier metro station in Paris will ever render anything from my imagination that builds a new world to connect to, but I certainly found it extraordinary as I stood on the platform and people-watched, taking in all the details of the scene while waiting for my train on a brisk Tuesday night.

It did strike me as fascinating enough to snap a photo, so who knows what the future may bring.
