In February 2013, I wrote an article for LAFRA’s Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen’s Fund charity. The subject of the piece was a famous Los Angeles mainstay of the restaurant scene, El Coyote Cafe. The eatery held a fundraising event for the charity inviting local fire stations to compete in a salsa contest. It was a huge hit, and the charity wanted to say thank you with this story and appreciation.
