Seeing a lack of media coverage on the burgeoning poetry and spoken word scene in my hometown, I pitched this article to a then-new Sky Blue Window magazine. SBW was an online publication dedicated to covering the arts & culture scene in Central Indiana. The publication received content from a variety of sources, but my article was an exclusive highlighting why Indy’s underground poetry community was so far … well, underground.
